Default variables populated by the report wizard for generating document style reports?

Donat Hutter (2153239) | asked Feb 12 '15, 3:11 p.m.
I'm creating a custom report template in RPE 1.3.
In the standard reports (e.g. printModuleBook.dta) I see quite a few external variables, which seems to be populated with context specific values by the report wizard (like author, _projectURI, _moduleURI, _useWordDOT, ...).

I try to understand, which variables are automatically filled with context specific data.
Is there some documentation available, which describes such default variables?
Thanks

I've not found any documentation describing the specific variables used in that report, but here are a couple of good resources:

Look at "Configuring Rational Publishing Engine variables for the Report wizard" at https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/RRCCustomRRDGReportsConfigurations

Prompting for variable values:  http://rpeactual.com/2011/12/05/prompting-for-variable-values/

Hope this helps a bit.

There is not much documentation in this area that I can find. However there are some hints that can be useful:

This does not describe those specific variables but does describe how such underscore prefixed external variables can be used to pass parameters from the wizard:
https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/RRCCustomRRDGReportsConfigurations#Configuring_Rational_Publish_AN1

And this describes the general process of modifying those templates, with a brief mention to the URI external variables:
