Build Forge 8.0 Web Login does not work on Chrome and Firefox

Frank Ning (50025119133) | asked Jan 31 '15, 10:43 a.m.
Hello,

I installed the build forge 8.0 on Windows 2012 R2 server with DB2 and tomcat inside build forge. The web server port chosen by me is 87. I can access the web console with http://<hostname>:87 on Intenet Explorer but not on Chrome nor on firefox. Both gave me errors:

On Chrome:
The webpage at http://localhost:87/ might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.

On firefox:
This address is restricted
This address uses a network port which is normally used for purposes other than Web browsing. Firefox has canceled the request for your protection.

Found out that the port 87 is restricted by firefox and chrome. Instead of remove the restriction, I  changed IIS from 80 to something else and the IHS to use 80 with build forge. Now it works:-)

Great job, those predefined ports restricted can be iffy. But it looks like you got it!
