Do exclude filters not work for plan items in a taskboard view?

Martin Hoffmann (1313) | asked Jan 07 '15, 10:40 a.m.
I'd like to filter out "done" stories or epics in a taskboard view in RTC V5.0.1 web client. By using the Exclude filter this works for execution items like tasks only. Somebody has an idea (for a workaround)?

Hi Martin,
I had the same issue in RTC 5.0.1.
I think the issue is same as the jazz.net work item 334697 if you look at comment 13 which has been fixed in v6.0.

Hi Lily,

thanks a lot for this hint!

But I feel that this solution covers a special scenario only...outplaced plan elements with closed children. I'd like to exclude also e.g. an epic which belongs to the current sprint.

The quick query syntax offers many opportunities but apparently not for all work item types.

I tested the same function in RTC 4.0.5 which works fine. The resolved Story/Epic is not shown in taskboard view.
I don't have v6.0 to test. If you think the issue in work item 334697 is different, feel free to submit a new defect in jazz.net.

Hi Martin,
I have the same issue in 5.0.2 iFix005. Have you been able to figure it out? Is it a defect or expected behavior?
I agree with you about work item 334697. It deals with a very specifc scenario. It's another use case, according to my understanding.

 Hi

I'm having the same problem with the 5.0.2 version. Do I need to go back to 5.0 or upgrade to 6?

Donald Nong commented Jun 28 '17, 1:02 a.m.

The fix was backported to 5.0.2 iFix007, so you can apply any iFix007 or newer to get the fix. Check the readme.txt file and confirm that "PI36051" is included.

 Hi Donald
I have installed the iFix021 but I'm still not being able to filter the plan items. I just put the "Exclude state:Done" But my Stories in "Done" state still appears. What can I do?

Donald Nong commented Jul 12 '17, 3:59 a.m.

You should contact IBM Support and verify whether you are indeed facing the same issue as work item 334697.
