help: queries for work items with no parent; with empty tag

John Kohl (1461815) | asked May 19 '09, 10:40 a.m.
using 2.0 Beta3.
I can't figure out how to create a query that finds work items with
no tags? I have tags "is", "is not", "contains, "does not contain", but I
need "is empty".

Also, can't figure out how to create a query that finds work items with
no parent linkage. I can query for parents that "exist", and no other
parent options.

Yes, I agree that we should add the 'Unassigned' check box as for other
attributes.

In 2.0 RC1, there is an operator 'not exist' which does what you are
looking for.

A query for work items without a parent has been requested. See https://jazz.net/jazz/web/projects/Rational%20Team%20Concert#action=com.ibm.team.workitem.viewWorkItem&id=59469
