How can I remove a change set without affecting my workspace, or local disk, or anything else?

Have you looked into the SCM FAQ? You can find it here: https://jazz.net/library/article/126

From where do you want to remove the changeset ?

What is it you are trying to archive ?

Martin,
I am recovering from a disk crash, and have imported all my projects into a new workspace.  They are now all compiling and working fine, except that there were many changes that showed up in the "Unresolved" section of the "Pending" window. In order to get on with what I needed to do I checked these in to a few dummy change sets to get them out of the way.  I'm now afraid that if I discard these, changes will be made that will break some of my projects.

Most of the files in the change sets are identical to what is in my workspace, however some of the ".project" files are empty in my workspace.  I was trying to avoid having to  do a compare on every file, and do manual backups of those that would be regressed.

Hi Ron,

To remove a change set from your workspace, you can discard it. If you discard a change set from your workspace, you can also discard it from the stream the workspace flows to.
