Reports export only works for some reports in Eclipse client

Mark Ingebretson (58515236) | asked May 06 '09, 5:16 p.m.
One of our users states that when using the RTC 1.0.1 Eclipse client to
run reports some reports can be exported, and others cannot.

After clicking on the Export icon and selecting the desired filetype,
there is disk activity, but nothing else happens. No dialog appears
asking for where to save the file. This happens for both Excel and
Powerpoint filetypes.

Some other reports in the same project will work correctly, prompting
for the file location to use.

I have reproduced the problem on my system, also. The server is V1.0.1,
clients Windows XP.

A report that works OK is a burndown report which includes data for 8
teams. The same report that has data for 50 teams does not work. The
report displays OK in Eclipse, you just can't export it.

Thanks,

Mark Ingebretson

Mark,

Could you please open a work item in the Reports component for this
problem? It would also be helpful if you could indicate:
(a) what browser you are using. If it's in the Eclipse client on
windows, it's likely IE, but exact version would be helpful.
(b) are there any errors in the server log when you try this?

Good data point about the Burndown report, thanks.
