What algorithm is used to encrypt password for jbe?

Hi Folks

A customer of mine is asking the encryption algorithm used to encrypt passwords in a password file when we use the jbe -createPasswordFile pass.txt

Based on the answer to this question What algorithm is used to encrypt password for scm CLI ? I suggested DES.

So, first, I would like to have the confirmation regarding the DES algorithm.
Second, if this is true, the customer is asking if we can have access to the Encryption Key and if we can change it.

Thanks a lot in advance for your help.

Best regards
Philippe

No, the users do not have access to the key or can change it. I guess the question is whether the scm cli provides a way to customize this and the answer is that it is not possible.

Thanks Shashihant for your reply.
I found a note on the forum saying that the JBE is using the DES algorithm (https://jazz.net/forum/questions/48756/what-algorithm-is-used-to-encrypt-password-for-scm-cli).
Is is a Simple DES or a Triple DES algorithm?

Thanks a lot for your support
