Is it possible to add a custom integer attribute to the Sorting Criterion in Plan View Elements?

I have a custom attribute of type "integer" which has been added as a "Planning Attribute". When I attempt to add this to the "Sorting Criterion" it does not appear as an option in the "Attribute" drop-down list. I can add it to a Plan View and I can get the view to sort on this attribute by manually clicking on the column header. I would like to be able to set it as the sort order in the Default view.

For custom Integar attribute is not supported as a sorting criteria in plan view now. This is an existing enhancement record:
