Client for Eclipse 4.2.x IDE for CLM 5.0 is unavailable

Jeff Birkner (15810) | asked Jun 12 '14, 11:33 a.m.

I would like to download "Client for Eclipse 4.2.x IDE" for CLM 5.0.

On page https://jazz.net/downloads/rational-team-concert/releases/5.0?p=allDownloads it lists it as unavailable.

If I "make up" the URL https://jazz.net/downloads/rational-team-concert/releases/5.0/RTC-Client-Eclipse4.2-repo-5.0.zip

 it will download.

1. Is this a web page omission?

2. Will the download be viable or am I just downloading junk?

Thanks.

Jeff

 Jeff:

I clicked on your first link and found the client for Eclipse 4.2.x as Eric is showing.  But it's listed as an Installation Manager install package.  I did not see a .zip file.

Are you looking for a .zip file?

JAZZ DEVELOPER

 Bob,

I checked the previous versions download pages,
we never provided a zipped version of the 4.2 based Eclipse Client.
So we only offer the IIM sites.

@Eric Jodet: If you provide and support a single Eclipse version in the (much more convenient) "plain zip" form, then why choose the obsolete Eclipse 3.6 and not the more recent Eclipse 4.2?

PS: up to fairly recently you were not supporting multiple Eclipse versions anyway...
