How to migrate rtc 4.0.5 app server from linux one to AIX one?

Hello,

We have an RTC 4.0.5 setup on Redhat linux and WAS8.5/DB210.1.
We are presently running  the jazz& RTC&DB on a single server.

Now we would like to migrate  from the old server to the new one with same public URI.
New environment has two AIX servers. One for App server and the other for DB server.

After setting up the new environment, how to migrate the old app server to the new one?

Kindly suggest a road map for this migration.
Thanks You advance....

Regards

You can refer to the InfoCenter http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/clmhelp/v4r0m5/topic/com.ibm.jazz.install.doc/topics/t_migrate_was_to_was.html to move the application to a new WAS server.

There's also a topic http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/clmhelp/v4r0m5/topic/com.ibm.jazz.install.doc/topics/t_migrate_dbs.html for the database migration. Or you can move the database following DB2 migration process and edit the teamserver.properties manually.

Hope they are helpful.

Hi, Lily
Thanks for your prompt answer.
The topic you recommended is exactly for WAS migration process, but it's for another instance on the same server .

Actually migrate the application to a new WAS server is even simpler than the document of the migration to another instance of the same server, as you don't need to clean the old data. You can stop the old WAS server instead.
