use the "Wiki" attribute type if you need images to be included.

HTML Fields are text based attributes.

A text based attribute means :
Attribute types that support storing any kind of text-based values. HTML-based attributes allow for formatting text and linking to artifacts. Small and medium-sized attribute types efficiently allocate database memory for attributes that are expected to be in a certain size range. The maximum attribute size applies when UTF-8 encoding is used.

so the answer to you is NO - you would not be able to bring an image into a HTML field.

However, we support a Wiki attribute type which can hold Wiki style content and hence you might want to use this when the requirement is to hold images

hope this helps.

 Thanks Dinesh.

I can add a field with the Wiki attribute but it is a protected field and I cannot import.  Can anyone assist in importing an image into a wiki field?
