As far as I can see, the Effective Estimate is based on the estimate attribute or, if set, the corrected estimate. If you use this column and the estimate is not set, it uses the estimate attribute. If you change the value it sets the corrected estimate. It displays the correct value from estimate/corrected estimate. Status: I don't understand the question Progress, see the links above. The plans calculate from the estimate, corrected estimate, time remaining/time spent and the time going on and show how many hours of the estimate have been done, compared to the time remaining for the owner.
