Displaying custom fields as part of Plan view.

SMitha kumari (245254) | asked Apr 01 '14, 8:22 a.m.

Hi Team,

I have added couple of fields like start date, end date , customer approved date etc as part of Project change request. I would like to see these fields as part of plan view. Currently custom fields are not listing of plan custom view. Please let me know is there any way to add this.

Regards,
Smitha

In the Project area configurations under Planning there is a configuration called Attribute Mapping.
Once you add the mapping for the newly created custom attribute, these will be available for Plan Editor.

Just be careful, there where a couple of attribute types that caused the planning UI to break and the plan view to be unusable. This was version dependent. Try this with a test plan - a plan you create for testing and can throw away if it breaks..

The problems are with the contributor list type of attributes.

There should not be any issues with the date type of attributes
