Hi fellows,

we are facing the problem, that un-deliverable mails are flooding the mailbox of our service account, users replies are lost, out-of-office mails aren't delivered to the person, which did an action in RTC/RQM and so on.

Is it possible to set the sender mail address to the address of the current owner instead of the server side mail address?

In ClearQuest this is the standard setting and from our side it makes more sense than an anonymous mail box.

greetings georg.

Hi Georg,

It is not possible in IBM Rational Team Concert (RTC) 4.0.6 or older yet.

There is already existing Enhancement 268052 (Jazz email notification - "E-mail From Name" set to the email address of the work item "changer") to implement this feature.

You need to create official Request For Enhancement (RFE) if you need this feature.

Let us know if this is what you were looking for.

Thanks.
Maybe it'll be realized in the next ten years. ;-)

At the moment as sent-from address one predefined address is given and can be changed in the properties of the server and replies to the notification mail will be sent to this address.
As a workaround, you can change this user to an address that is whitelisted on your mail server
