Any issues with moving a few thousand RTC defect work items to another project area?

Ed Richard (644) | asked Mar 28 '14, 12:58 p.m.
Need to move about 4000 defects in our production area project area to another project are so we can start over again.. (don't want to close or delete them.. ideally want to get them off the radar to users without deletion) Will  anything prevent moving work items? (such as if workflow is different).. Anything to watch out for or prepare for? Any better options?

Ed,

if you refer to https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/BulkMoveWorkItemsBetweenProjectAreasInRTC4

please refer to the hints and advice section.

In general, when moving the available value of an attribute or workflow state needs to be mapped to the value in the project area. If there is no mapping value, the value will be set to default.
