Steps to apply WAS 8.0.0 fixpack 8

Narayanan Potti (27037279) | asked Mar 19 '14, 12:36 p.m.

Hello forum members

I have CLM 4.0.1 installed on Windows Server 2008 R2, application server is WAS 8.0.0.3. LDAP is used for authentication. I need to upgrade WAS to fixpack 8. I need to know if there's a document with steps to upgrade WAS to newer fixpack. Specifically I need to know the steps to execute to preserve LDAP group mappings. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank You
NP

Hello,

here is a document that describes application of the 8.0.0.8 fixpack in detail:
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24036729

LDAP group mappings should not be affected by this operation.

Thanks for your assistance. I did WAS upgrade from 8.0.0.3 to version 8.0.0.8 last night. Upgrade went relatively smooth, without major issues. I used IM and executed the upgrade. After upgrade I verified in WAS Admin Console, Security, Global Security, LDAP group mappings were preserved from earlier version.
