Not seeing workitem perspective in RTC client

Gary Dang (59328855) | asked Sep 19 '07, 11:50 a.m.
When I run the Jazz client on my machine, I am not able to see the workitem perspective (as the read me file says). However, when I launch the same RTC client on the Jazz server, I DO see the workitem perspective and able to connect to the Jazz repo. Might there be something (JVM?) on my machine that is causing this thing?

A common cause (I run into this every once in a while when I test
something on Linux) is that the 'current directory' is not the directory
where TeamConcert resides. In this case, the links to additional plugin
directories (where the Jazz plugins reside) cannot be properly resolved
and you will see a more or less plain Eclipse client.

Try to cd .../jazz/client/eclipse and start TeamConcert from there.

Hello gdang,

What perspective do you see by default, the work item perspective should
be the default, can you
open it after you start up the client ?

If not do you see it listed in the the preferences>general>perspectives ?
