Is there a way to quickly create a work item from a dashboard? We are using RTC for open project collaboration not directly tied to software development. Templates don't work because you can't use variables for title and description.

Any thoughts?

I do not think so.  I would suggest opening a request for enhancement in the jaz project area.

Use the bookmarks widget.

Go to workitem-create new Defect (defect for example)

Copy the URL without ts=<id>.

"add bookmark" -> paste the URL.
