"unscheduled" release plans showing in web client (but not Eclipse)

RTC 4.0.4
In RTC configuration, each iteration has a checkbox that says "a release is scheduled for this iteration". Unchecking that box makes the iteration disappear from menus and plan lists. At least it works as expected in Eclipse. Unfortunately, the web client is showing every plan ever created (435 of them) even though I have unchecked the box for older releases and, as expected, they are not showing in Eclipse. Is there a way to make these disappear from the web client so this works as expected, or is this a bug?

Fascinating. That must be a big customer for IBM to break the design for them. :) I see the work around is a new filter named "exclude iterations without a scheduled release". Unfortunately, that does not work for lists of plans. I see no way to see only "scheduled for release" plans in a list in the web client. The checkbox "exclude iterations without a scheduled release" needs to be added to all lists of plans.
