Has each plan its own ranking?

I want to use the explicit ranking. Currently I see in different plans (and even different views) different ranking numbers!?

1) Does each plan has its own ranking?
2) Must I call in each plan the "Migrate Rank"?
3) What is the default (explicit, or attribute base ranking) in a new plan?

Hi Donat,

as far as I know the ranking is relative to a plan or plan view. I haven't played with it recently, but that was the case in the past. Please also see https://jazz.net/library/article/1289 for the new ranking.

There are request to have a more global ranking, but that is not easy to achieve.

Hi Ralph,

There is a newer article for 4.0.5 available https://jazz.net/library/article/1364

In the online help I find "Any new plans use explicit ranking and do not have the option to switch to attribute-based ranking." But in old plans I can switch back and forth.

What happens with the ranking settings in an environment, which has been upgraded to 4.0.5? I ask this, because all plans of same plan type and team (sprint plans) share the configuration (see where-are-plan-settings-stored).
I stopped experimenting in our production environment, because I see strange sorting behavior (even in same plan different ranking numbers in different views, sorting by drag and drop disabled)
