Hello,

If a work item has several change sets associated to it, is there a way to tell which ones have been delivered, and which ones have not?

For example, let's consider following scenario:
  • Developer A submit change set 1 for review to developer B. In the Work Item's links tab, you can see change set 1.
  • Developer B asks for some changes.
  • Developer A updates the files, and submits the new revision for review. A new change set 2 is added to the work item.
  • Developer B is satisfied with change set 2, and approves it.
  • Developer A delivers change set 2 to the stream.
In the end, the Work Item's links tab, will show both change sets without distinction.

Thanks,

Isabelle

Isabelle,

please have a look if the Track Flow Date enhancement request is along the lines of what you want. If not, feel free to scan its parents for another suitable candidate or create your own. The current development for 5.0 seems to be a good place to consider things like tracking change set delivery as first class data.

Hi,
You can use the Locate change set editor to see whether a change set is part of a stream.

Hi Lakshmi,

Thanks for your reply, I was able to fetch this information from the Locate Change Sets editor.
However, this requires several more steps:

  1. select all change sets on links page
  2. right click and select "Locate change sets..."
  3. add stream to search target
  4. then click on "Show Results Details" to see info for each change sets

Why isn't it possible to show a summary of the change sets' deliveries on the links page?
Is it a true statement that a change set (unique change set id) can only be delivered to a single steam?

Thanks,

Isabelle

Hi,
A changeset can be delivered to more than one stream.
