Set the LDAP Synchronizing Period

Aaron Chorpenning (371015) | asked Jan 15 '14, 2:49 p.m.
I am not sure if this is the default, but our LDAP Active Directory group changes to Jazz groups: "JazzAdmins, JazzUsers, JazzDWAdmins, JazzProjectAdmins, JazzGuests" only get sync'ed in Jazz over night. Is there a setting to enable faster synchronization?

 Hi Aaron

Yes; By default the LDAP synchronization happens at 01:00 a.m every morning.

The frequency can be changed by logging into jts/admin and going to Server --> Advanced Properties tab.

Details in this link from Infocenter:

Thank you for the pointer. I've identified where that change needs to be made.

While LDAP Nightly Sync Fixed Delay from JTS advanced properties page helps you can modify the sync frequency, repotools command provides you with ability to perform a sync anytime you wish to:
cd C:\Program Files\IBM\JazzTeamServer\server\
repotools-jts.bat -syncUsers repositoryURL=https://hostname.example.com:9443/jts
below link provides more information about the parameters and the command line for linux :

Ok, so this would be used to force a sync at any desired time, where the Nightly Sync Fixed Delay is still great for scheduled periods. Right?

yep.. that's right, just in case you can't wait till the scheduled sync takes effect, you can force an early sync through the repotools command.
