Extending Team Concert development environment

Russell Wright (1114) | asked Sep 12 '07, 8:30 a.m.
Our team's project consists of different J2EE applications and we currently use Rational Application Developer V7 for development. I know that Team Concert includes a Java development environment, but can that development environment be extended by installing plug-ins for J2EE development, WebSphere test environments, etc? If not, are there plans to allow the Team Concert client's development environment to be extended?

We would like to use all of the Jazz features for managing source and associating it with work items and it seems the ideal way to do that would be to integrate our development environment with Team Concert. If it's not possible to do that now, is there a way for us to continue our development in RAD yet still easily use the Jazz features for integrating source management with work items, milestones, etc.?

Hi Russel,

we have integrated the EPIC plugin (to support perl cgi development). Another self made plugin that uses the features of the DLTK plugin has also been successfully integrated into JAZZ. I think, you should give it a try and post your experiences here in the newsgroup.

Matthias

Hello RussellBWright,

I have plugged in ClearCase Remote CLient to RTC (M1) and it co-habitates
fine as just another team provider....
