Migrating Project area contents to other Jazz server

VK L (8177155159) | asked Sep 20 '13, 5:31 a.m.
 Hi All,
I have to migrate selective project areas from one jazz server to another [same version]. Is there a solution for transferring all the items as-is between the servers - like process configuration, workitems, plans, complete scm items, reports, dashboards, etc.

Thanks.

Hi VK,
You can look at following documents:

workitems: https://jazz.net/library/article/522/

Plans:
https://jazz.net/help-dev/clm/index.jsp?re=1&topic=/com.ibm.team.apt.doc/topics/c_import_and_export_projects.html&scope=null
You can import/export plans using the function described here: https://jazz.net/library/article/1150/

Let us know if it helps for you.

Hello VK,
You can migrate entire servers or parts of project areas. There is jazz.net RFE for that:
https://jazz.net/jazz/web/projects/Rational%20Team%20Concert#action=com.ibm.team.workitem.viewWorkItem&id=87778. You can subscribe to it to track the progress.

Anyway you can e.g. export/import workitems using csv importer You can also export/import each plan.

Let us know if you need any additional information.

 Hi Krzysztof,

I am looking at migrating all components of a project area. I would like to know if there are any limitations in the items/parts that can be migrated or exported/imported. Version is 4.0.0.2. Please point me to any suitable links.

Thanks.

It is also possible to deliver between repositories.  It requires some configuration of the repository.
