Does anyone know if its possible to find the parent folder of a folder?

Scenario: I have an artifact and from the location i can find the containing folder of the artifact.
Is there a way, using this containing folder, to find the parent folder of the containing folder?
I have the id of the containing folder but the query:
https://localhost:9443/rm/publish/resources?resourceURI=<<Containing_folder_URI>>
returns little information

Is there a way to navigate the folder structure in this way/

I don't see folders listed as a supported artifact type in this wiki:  https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/RRCReportableRestAPI

However, there is folder navigation support via the OSLC-RM API in RRC.  Check out this post:  http://rhnaranjo.wordpress.com/2012/06/25/folder-support-added-to-rrc-4-0-oslc-rm-api-implementation/
