Standard RTC work item field for Fix Summary?

Michael Taylor (8865764) | asked Sep 09 '13, 9:24 p.m.

Our project want to record and document a fix summary for each defect.  Is there a standard RTC field that is intended for this purpose?  Where does IBM typically log a fix summary for a work item?

We know how to add a custom field but we want to use RTC as close to out of the box as possible for ease of setup and maintenance.  We suppose we could add a fix summary to the standard description or discussion fields.  But we're not sure that makes the fix summary prominent enough or easy enough to find from a consistency standpoint.

Add a custom attribute of type large text. Add a validator script that makes it required to add a certain amount of data to allow to save it in certain states. See https://jazz.net/library/article/1093 Lab 3,4,5.

You can place the important things on a special tab that is up in the list for easy navigation. If the text is no too big, it can also be added to the overview tab. I believe some of the Scrum templates we provide has such data in stories.
