Hi

How do I run my RTC Express server on System i, but use regular Windows RTC Express clients on my desktop? This is for plain Java development at this stage - so I don't need a System i development client. I just want to take advantage of the System i box as a database/app server.

Is it possible to do this? Can I get just a RTC for i Express server?

thanks

Hi Anthony,

It is definitely possible to do this. You can download a trial RTCi Express server from here: https://jazz.net/downloads/rational-team-concert/releases/i1.0. Follow the installation guide to install the server on i.

Note that RTCi 1.0 is based on RTC 1.0. You can download a RTC 1.0 client from here: https://jazz.net/downloads/rational-team-concert/releases/1.0. The RTC client for both Standard and Express are the same. The server determines what capabilities are allowed.
