Error while running query in RTC client on CWD3 machine

Amit Punpale (1244) | asked Aug 14 '13, 6:16 a.m.

I have installed RTC on CWD3 machine (Windows 7 64 bit)

When I go to Work Items (tab) -> Run Query and run an existing query it gives me errors.

Error while running query on CWD3

Error log

Please note that I have RTC installed on my CWD2 machine (Win XP 32 bit) on which this works absolutely fine.

Is it a compatibility issue or any configuration issue? We are concerned about this unsual error as the same error could resurface in other parts of application. Our entire team is moving to CWD3 machine.

Thanks and Regards,

RTC is installed on local C:\ drive of the machine.

Just to be clear this is the path of Eclipse client - C:\swdtools\IBM\RTC3\eclipse.exe

Do you possibly have RTC installed on a shared network drive?
If so, try to run it from a local drive instead.

Can you go to <workspace>/.metadata and open the .log file? Errors in there will give you a better insight on what the cause of the problem is.
