Are there documented steps on creating a work item template? I want a new one similar to the current risk template but its called Opportunities. Some of the same fields will be reused. Can I just call it a different name and reuse the risk editor pieces? - Thanks

Have you tried the Process Enactment Workshop. Try Lab 3.  In that lab, a new work item type of 'Technology Review' is introduced. The labs go on to show other typical edits that follow once a new workitem type is introduced such as workflow editing and presentation editing.

you mean create a new workitem in a project?

there is online help for that.. unfortunately there  is no 'clone' operation.

workitem template is a specific term for partially completed workitem(s) used to help users create them quickly.
(they are listed in the project area 'templates' menu.)

I actually mean work item type. I have issues, defect, milestone, risk, etc. I need to create new ones so I can create new data entry screens for that type of information.
