DB2 10.1 pureScale feature support

Vince Thyng (13723653) | asked Aug 11 '13, 11:15 p.m.
Can someone tell me if the DB2 10.1 pureScale feature is supported since DB2 10.1 is supported, or if that has to be specifically listed as a supported flavor of the database?

For the list of supported DB see the following article
https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Deployment/CLMSystemRequirements

I am not sure that pure scale has been tested however based on the following description, I do not see why this feature would not work with RTC.

This was taken from:http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/data/library/dmmag/DBMag_2010_Issue1/DBMag_Issue109_pureScale/

Transparent application scaling means that applications don't have to be cluster-aware to truly take advantage of the scale-out architecture. To deliver this scaling, DB2 pureScale uses remote direct memory access (RDMA) technology along with PowerHA pureScale technology to eliminate communication between members for lock management and global caching services.

Thank you Abraham!  Yes, I am hoping that if the Jazz applications are able to remain unaware of what is happening on the back end, then it will work just fine.  I can not get in to a situation where it is an unsupported configuration, so doing my homework first.
