One of our client want to deploy RDB v8.5 local help on CLM 2013 (RTC) server.
Question: Can we deply RBD 8.5 local help on CLM (RTC 4.0.3) local server? Is there a good idea to put both help on one server (CLM server)? Steps we have done: 1) download RBD 8.5_updateSite from "http://download.boulder.ibm.com/ibmdl/pub/software/rationalsdp/documentation/updatesites/ " 2) go to https://127.0.0.1:9443/clmhelp/updater/admin.jsp and open "Remote Help Configuration" 3) disable connection to a remote information Center and save 4) Add new updater (RBD 8.5_updater) as internal site and install it. 5) remove existing installed contents and install new contents 6) Open application (such as RTC) and go to Help and see it => There is no menu for RBD in CLM help * See these screen shot ![]() ![]() |

We were able to solve this issue.
There is a new CLM 4.0.3 updatesite.zip, which was replaced recently. If we use file for CLM 4.0.3 local help, we could create co-existing help environment with RBD 8.5. There is still a few issue on it but it is OK to install both of them and display. "http://download.boulder.ibm.com/ibmdl/pub/software/rationalsdp/documentation/updatesites/ " Comments Great to hear you are able to get all the help content to display. I wanted to mention that we have a pre-populated help war (with all the CLM 4.0.3 content) available: Get the clmhelp.war from http://download.boulder.ibm.com/ibmdl/pub/software/rationalsdp/documentation/updatesites/CLM4.0.3-all/. Instructions can be found: https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/DocInstallAllHelp. Thanks.

Hi there.
We find a problem with the help code and have filed a defect to have it fixed. In the meantime, I have created a custom update zip file for you with the help contents for CLM 4.0.3 and RBD 8.5. You can find this zip file at http://download.boulder.ibm.com/ibmdl/pub/software/rationalsdp/documentation/updatesites/special/. The filename is CLM403andRBD85.zip. In the local help updater, delete all of the installed help and then install the contents from this zip file. Please let me know if you have any problems. Thanks so much. Hadar Comments Hi Harder,

Hi again.
We have been able to reproduce your issue internally. Could you try
This resulting help has both the CLM and the RBD content displayed. Comments Hadar, Thank you for your update.

Hi there.
The Rational user assistance team is exploring this problem. The RBD content is there, but it is not displayed in the navigation. We have a few questions for you: 1. When you delete the initial content, do you delete all 3 of the installed help categories? 2. What browser and version are you using? 3. Do you have an internet connection when you run? Thanks so much. Hadar Hawk Rational Information Architect |

I walked through similar steps as you but I just installed directly from the on-line update site. The help seems to get installed but does not show up in the table of contents. If I search for something that is only in the RBD help I am able to find it.
I searched for Business Developer and found a few results from the Rational Business Developer help pages.
Can you try that out to confirm if this is the same problem?
By the way I wasn't able to find RDB so I think you meant RBD ( Rational Business Developer)
Also I asked about the application server WAS or Tomcat, but I was thinking about installing the full help war file so that probably isn't as important to know based on my current understanding of your issue.
Hi Karl,
Thanks for checking this.
I searched Business Developer but I did not get much hit but I can see "What's new in Rational Business Developer" and other RBD related pages.
I am using Tomcat.
I created an escalation for this because I thought I do not get any answer.
When I confirm this, I will update it on this forum.
