RTC server: Email notification setup passed but not working
From http://localhost:9443/jazz/setup, the Email notification setup passed. I can see the "SMTP connection is established" message. Using "telnet xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx 25" command line can also send a mail through the SMTP server. The SMTP server is an internal one and do not need authentication.
But after add a new work item or doing some other changes with RTC, users can't received emails automatically. I'm sure the user's mail configuration is correct. I'm using RTC 1.01. When I change email configurations from http://localhost:9443/jazz/admin, sometimes on the browser I saw the error message like: "An error occurred while saving the configuration properties. Please check your server log for more details" Then on Tomcat server console I can see the error msg below. I can see the "SMTP connection is established" message. Using "telnet *.*.*.* 25" command line can also send a mail through the SMTP server. The SMTP server is an internal one and do not need authentication. |
