 I have the The RAM plugin installed within RTC 4.0 eclipse client.  Is there a way to get artifacts or common libraries to show up as assets within RAM?  I don't see how do get common code libraries from RTC to RAM.  Is this possible?  The thinking is users can search for common components in RAM but they are stored in RTC.

Typically you develop in RTC and publish formal levels of the code to RAM (optionally linking a baseline to it) to make it visible/cataloged for others to reference or review.
