How to upgrade RRC (Composer) from Beta to GA Release?

Yanzhuang Li (31134126) | asked Dec 29 '08, 1:31 p.m.
We have two instances of RRC that have been using Composer Beta software. We would like to upgrade Composer to the GA release while reusing the existing repositories. What would be the high level procedures? Do I need a complete uninstall of the Beta version? Thanks.

Hi.

Its best to ask RRC related questions on the developerWorks forum located here: http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/forums/forum.jspa?forumID=1546.

The beta and the GA can both be installed simultaneously so you do not have to uninstall the beta in order to install the GA. Unfortunately, we do not support migrating the beta data to a GA server and we know that this will not work for betas other than beta 3. File formats have changed between the betas and the GA. If you are using beta 3, then you can likely export your data using the upload and download functionality.

Thanks.
George.

Hi

I have just used the following URL for the RRC forum on developerWorks:

http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/forums/forum.jspa?forumID=1546

If that does not work for you - try going to and scroll down the the RRC forum:

http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/forums/dw_rforums.jspa

You don't need to register to see the forum - but you will need to register to post.

regards

anthony
