I am working in Firefox 17.06 / IE 8.0 does not work in either browser
Version of RTC: 4.0.2
In order to further troubleshooting we need output from Firebug.
Could you install an start Firebug and reproduce the issue to check what are the queries going to the server? It is worth of going to net/XHR tab to see if you did not have any errors there. I would suggest you to open new PMR for the support.
Alternatively you can use Eclipse client to manage workflows.
