RTC and DOORS integration - how to use it

Georg Kellner (840378108) | asked Jun 05 '13, 9:57 a.m.
Hi fellows,

we'll have to integrate DOORS 9.5 with RTC.

What we already have is the integration DOORS 9.5 with RQM.
So the technical setup shouldn't be the problem, but the question is, what is the recommended way to use the integration.

What I know from RQM:
I add a DOORS view as requirements link collection to a testplan.
The testcases within the testplan can be linked to the requirements represented by the connected view.

Is it the same with RTC?
I link a DOORS view against a plan or backlog, and link a story against one requirement?

greetings georg.

It is fairly the same with RTC - you will link the requirements from DOORS to work items in RTC, which can be utilized in plans and reports.

There are some good articles online discussing work flow of DOORS and RTC integration. I recommend reviewing them to determine how RTC best fits with your current deployment.
