Jazz usage of the now defunct SDO?

I'm starting to play with my first repository storage model and noticed
that Jazz is using SDO. Since SDO has been eliminated from EMF, will
RTC 2.0 be removing it's dependency on SDO?

The repository models use EMF as an implementation detail and as we move
to newer versions of EMF we would have to re-evaluate how we use what's
available.

About SDO in particular, there is an open bug that talks about the issue
