Browser search option on RTC page does not always work

Iliya Bolotyansky (323) | asked May 22 '13, 10:42 a.m.

Hi All,

I'm using IE, Firefox and Chrome, all three browsers have problems searching for content on an RTC page, while the text is actually there.

Is this in a known problem? Does anybody know how it can be resolved?

Thanks for your help,

Iliya

Could you provide some additional details?
It looks like you are referring to the browser search option (ctrl-f).
Is that correct?
Also what RTC pages are you referring to?
Work items, queries etc...?

To add to what Stephanie said and if you are using the search filters, they most of the time work on the page content only which is sometimes confusing. You may use the "Show All" option to list all records and then use the search filters to get the expected result and also I think this is an expected behavior.

I assume you are using the full text search in RTC. If so, the following article may be beneficial to helping you identify where the problems are in your search string:

That being said, the search functionality is controlled by the indices. If you have problems with your searches, your server may need to be reindexed.
