Sharing a work item between projects

Sterling Ferguson-II (1.6k12288273) | asked May 07 '13, 2:30 p.m.
CLM 4.0.2 - web only

ProjectA
ProjectB
ProjectC

There are 30 work items that need to be tracked in all 3 projects. Is there a way to share the work items, or do they need to be copied and recreated in each project? Each project has different timelines, but once the work is done...it's done for all 3 projects.

What's a best practice for this?

you could use the Cross Project Plan views released in 4.0.1 to track.
course the projects all have to be on the same server

where is the work being done? it should be in THAT project.
then depends/blocks/... links from the affected workitems in the other projects.
