When configuring LDAP with RTC can you choose to not map some attributes like email

We are trying to configure LDAP with RTC to map all attributes except email address. In Rational Asset Manager and Rational Focal Point you can choose to not map some attributes, but it appears that this is not possible in RTC. It is all or nothing. Is there a workaround?

Having this flexibility is very useful for us, since we can map the email attribute once and sync and get default values for email and then remove the mapping. Since there is no longer a mapping to LDAP the email address can be updated directly. We have many users who wish to update the email field with a preferred email address to use with notifications, rather than use the email address found in LDAP.

I don't think that's possible at the moment, but it would make for a good enhancement. Please consider filing an enhancement request on jazz.net.

As a workaround, you can implement a rule that would redirect the mail coming from jazz.net to a separate address.
