how to get content of build log file to paste in email

 Hi,
i have "email notification" turned on to notify the people who deliver changes whenever a build fails. However, in that email there's a link to the web ui, which you need to log into in order to see, it takes you to this:

then you have to click on the logs tab or on a link further down that takes you to where the actual log is, and just when you think you are going to be able to see it when you click on the file name...it prompts you to save the file and then of course you have to open it...Is there a way to access this log file with fewer clicks, possibly by looking at the file in the /tmp directory of the machine where the build engine runs or something like that?

Thanks!

Hi Marlies,

I wasn't able to find a way to view the log file with fewer clicks.  I think it'd be a nice feature to be able to view log files online rather than download them, so I opened this enhancement.

Provide a means in the build web UI to open a log file in the web UI rather than download it (258669)

Scott
