We are searching for a possibility to move documents / folders to another component without loosing the existing URL links (type: related artefacts) in RTC workitems.

The component name seems to be part of the url and the links don't work after moving the documents.

The links to items have been implemented to go to the item in a context (your context being a stream and component). Since the item has been moved to a different component, the link results in a missing item because it doesn't exist there anymore.

I'm not quite sure how you want the link to behave. It points to an item but which version of the item? The file could exist in many different contexts. Specifying a context breaks in your use case. Not specifying a context is ambiguous to what you want to see.

Hello Tim,

I think there is a misunderstanding.

We are using RTC in a project management context. We have one document stream and components for each team. Due to a team reorganization we have to move documents from a "removed" team to another team (component).

Additional we use a lot of workitems (e.g. Change Requests) which have "related artefact" links to documents in the team component (head version). This links are not working after moving documents to the new team component.

How are you getting the link to the document? It sounds that it's within the context of your component and stream. You want the link to show the latest state of the document within that context. Moving the document out of the component means the link will lead you to a document that doesn't exist anymore in that context.
