One step - several results

Just a short question:
Is it possible to have one test step with several results like
Action A   Result A
                Result B
                Result C

I can create three steps with each result, but this is not the way the user asks for.

Can you exaplain what is the subject matter here? Are you asking about workitem workflows?

A further question (to maybe find a workaround) might be what is the user looking for in his three Results?  Can you describe the scenario with an example? Hello Georg,
A manual test script step can only have one defined result, like you already found out.
Having three different results in a given step would clearly mess up the scores of my tests, no?

Hi Gerd,
we have connected systems.
If one system crashes (this would be the step)
- System A has to show an error message
- System B has to switch to a safe mode
- System C has to send commands to an other system
(this would be the results)

I can do this with on step, which fails, if one of the three systems doesn't act correct.
I can create three steps with an identical action and different results (or using test data if there are more results).

What would be the best?

Hi Georg,  My guess on this: I think the answer needs to come from your user. To get a clear answer out you could ask: Is it important to test if any of the three systems has failed to act  ->  then use one step and the overall fail or Is it more important to test which system has failed to act on the outage then use three steps. This way one could later easily find out the important reason for the failure in the test result. Hope this helps to get this going. Best Regards, Gerd
