Bespoke Incident Logging

Andrew Harmel-Law (14612218) | asked Nov 20 '08, 11:49 a.m.
Hi,

We are using Jazz to enable users to log incidents against our software. Incidents are bespoke work items and we would like to configure the UI so that these users could only create these types of work items, and ideally there would be a bespoke work item creation screen to make this easier for them. Their profile would make only this type of work item available for creation, only certain fields available on the work item, populate certain fields with certain default values, and restrict choices on certain drop downs.

Is this possible?

TIA

Cheers, Andrew

You can restrict the types available for creation by setting
permissions accordingly.

More fine-grained control is not possible yet, but most of your
requests are in the planning queue.

In the Process Configuration, you find the Permissions under Team
Configuration.

For each role, you can then determine the work item type permissions under

Work Items
Save Work Item (server)
...
Create a work item
Create a work item of a specific type
