Data warehouse snapshot PRIORITY table

Rick Wu (111) | asked Mar 13 '13, 10:52 a.m.
If we deleted/removed a priority enumeration, will the deleted/removed priority still be kept in PRIORITY table? I checked the table and found that the priority is still there (even after a few days and the snapshot was taken after the changes.)
Is this a defect or it works as design? Any way to know the priorities in PRIORITY table are still valid or not? Thanks.

Hello Rick,

This is the expected behavior.  The deleted/removed attribute will remain in the previous created work items and work item queries.  The data will remain stored in the repository and warehouse.  It would be problematic if the deleted attribute was also deleted in the database since there can be existing links to the attribute.
