Error while openning the exported XML plan into MPP from RTC

Every time I export a plan from rtc/ccm into XML format and try oppening in MPP, I am gettting error related to <start> tag. It says that the date format is not correct. Actually there is no data for this element and it should just ignore this.

To fix this error, I will have to manually delete this tag. It is fine if the plan is small in size, but not feasible for big plans. Please suggest how this error can be taken care without this manual work.

Hi Monika,

sorry, I missed that MS Project has the issue. Adjusting to that.
I would suggest the following approaches.

  1. Try to fix the plan data so that it contains the required information.
  2. I am not sure why there is no date information in the plan. Did you consider to take a plan snapshot?
  3. If you think the plan should export with insufficient data in the plan, please file an enhancement request with support or here: https://jazz.net/jazz/web/projects/Rational%20Team%20Concert#action=com.ibm.team.workitem.viewWelcome
