Rename of work item types and problems afterwards

Juergen Amthauer (21279) | asked Mar 01 '13, 11:17 a.m.
Related to plans and reports; while we renamed 'story' to 'user story' some of the standard reports show wrong data, cause the reports only know about 'story' . Is there a kind of a 'HowTo' where to put hands on in case we do such modifications as renaming parts ?
Furthermore we like to use 'hours' in the estimation of 'user stories' instead of story points, this goes in the same direction, where to change what so that all parts work afterwards as in standard scrum template.
Any hints where to start ?
Or is there a small guide which way to follow ?

Hi,
I found https://jazz.net/library/article/1002, which explains whether modifications are safe, cautious, or harmful.  From the article, changing the id of the "story" type is harmful, but changing the display name of the "story" can be done with caution.  The article describes how you can safely change the "story" display name.
