RTC Server and Client on 64 bit hardware

saar netzer (5644) | asked Nov 18 '08, 6:38 a.m.
Can anyone tell me if Both Server and Client can run on 64bit?
I know Eclipse can, the question is if all other components are suitable for 64 bit.

While 64-bit platforms are not officially supported, it is possible to
get the client and server running in a 64-bit environment.

The most common way to get the server installed on a 64-bit platform is
to install the 64-bit version of WAS and then follow the instructions
for installing Jazz/RTC into WAS. For Tomcat, the only step needed
should be to replace the 32-bit VM that is packaged with a 64-bit VM.

For the client, I would setup a 64-bit Eclipse install and then use
installation manager to install the RTC client into your existing 64-bit
Eclipse environment
