I see  2 folders and a license and a .sh file .Thanks. Regards. Claudia

You could try following this technote to perform a silent install
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21576781

You would need to find the URL in the install-client.xml instead of install-server.xml
And use the silent-install-client.xml instead of silent-install-server*.xml

The .sh file is the executable to start Install Manager.

Double-check the properties of the file to make sure it is executable and run it. You can do so from a command prompt:

./launchpad.sh

I got this error : An error occurred while starting the launchpad. This error typically occurs when the launchpad is unable to find a supported browser. Check your product's documentation for a list of supported browsers.

You should describe the location of installation programs on the product CD so the user can run them directly without starting launchpad if necessary.

Procedure for correcting the error that is preventing the launchpad from displaying

The launchpad supports the following browsers:
o Mozilla
o Firefox
o Internet Explorer (Microsoft Windows platforms only)
o SeaMonkey
etc etc ...

Do you have any of those supported browsers installed?

An alternative, if you don't need to use IM, is to download the client zip and unzip it where you need it.

It seems you're experiencing something that's an issue with your browser. One commenter in the question I've linked mentioned that it works in FF17. However, I suggest installing with the zips instead of using Install Manager as the answer suggests.
