Active Directory LDAP with Jazz server 4.0.1 and Tomcat

Luciana Porto (111) | asked Feb 22 '13, 10:50 a.m.

Hi All,

I'm trying to configure Active Directory LDAP with Jazz server 4.0.1 and Tomcat and I am receiving the following error when logging in:

“The user ID you logged in with is not recognizable. You are not authorized to access Jazz Team Server Admin UI.”

My Organization Units (OU) and my Groups ll have underscore in their names, like OU=Abc_A01,DC=Xxxx,DC=net

I found 2 technotes about Jazz v3.0.1 saying this is an known issue with WAS:

http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21506572

http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21514785

Is this issue supposed to be fixed in Jazz v4.0.1? Does this problem only happens with WAS?

Hi Luciana,

CLM with Tomcat and AD works. I think we use this in https://jazz.net/library/article/831

So I assume your challenge rather is how to provide the correct information in the configuration. On the setup page where you configure LDAP, there is a link to a technote that helps you to examine the LDAP system and verify your settings. I would suggest to use the technote and validate the settings. Also, please be aware that with Tomcat you have to manually copy some deployment .XML files in the webapps folder structure over the existing files, in order for enable the applications to access the LDAP system. This step is easily overlooked.
